Baptism and Confirmation at Christ Church
On Sunday the 27th of May it was a great pleasure to welcome Bishop Jeremy Walsh to Baptise and confirm Sally Franklin, Deborah Lock, Sam Bartlett and Howard Scott. Jane Ratcliffe renewed her baptismal vows by full immersion at the same time. It was a wonderful occasion as all the candidates had compelling stories about how the Jesus Christ has changed their lives and given them a new way of living. It is always such a joy to see people come to a living faith and celebrate it is such a moving way.

Buying a house on Moreton Hall? (Chancel Repairs)
It has come to my attention that some of the solicitors and estate agents, who assist in the buying and selling of houses on the Moreton Hall estate, have been asking people to take out insurance against repairing Christ Church, Moreton Hall. This is despite the fact we have stated publicly that Christ Church, Moreton Hall does not make claims against any property on the Moreton Hall estate for repairs. None the less some lawyers and estate agents continue to insist that their customers take out such insurance...

If you live on the Moreton Hall estate, which covers all properties from the A14 to the flying fortress public house, Christ Church is your only parish church. We do not have any legal right to claim repair bills from the residents of the estate. In other parts of Suffolk there are churches that do have this right. If you wish to know who they are, a list can be obtained from Mr James Hall, 20 – 32 Museum Street, Ipswich IP1 2UH.

Funeral Services
As your local parish church, Christ Church, Moreton Hall has a highly trained team of clergy available to contact a range of services, including funerals. When your Funeral Director calls, he will always advise you that we are available to help. In addition to taking the service, we are available to visit you ourselves to ensure that you get the service you want and are supported pastorally after the service if you wish.

Asking for the clergy does not mean you have to have the service in church. Most of our services are taken at the Crematorium or at the Cemetery. While we use services as authorised by the Church of England, we are also ecumenical, which means there is a great deal of flexibility in what you can have when we take your relatives service.

You will also find that our fees are not expensive and are governed by national regulation. If you wish to find out anymore about the services we offer, please see the rest of our website or contact us. Everyone who has had a funeral by the clergy of Christ Church, Moreton Hall has found the experience helpful and supportive. Many have said it enabled them to deal with their grief and reconstruct their lives in a good and positive way.

If you would like our help ask you funeral director for details or contact us yourself.
