Pentecost

Pentecost is sometimes called “the birthday of the church”.  When Jesus went back to heaven after rising from the dead he  told his disciples to wait in Jerusalem.  A few days later during the Jewish festival of Pentecost Jesus’ disciples were meeting together.  The Holy Spirit came and filled them and gave each of them special gifts to tell others about Jesus.  Many hundreds of people became believers that day and the church to spread around the world.

Present Aid Cake Stall

On Sunday 10th February the D.I.G. Members are going to choose the gifts, and we will let everyone know what we are 

going to buy for Present Aid.

 

7.30pm to 9.30pm every Wednesday in February and March

Come to pray for our church, for new projects and planning for the future, to be open to God for his leading

(This is scheduled for room A but if numbers or access are an issue will move downstairs.)

 

At 7.30pm March 13th there will also be

Holy Communion for Ash Wednesday

 

 

The new theme is “The Promises of God”.

 

The roll is being remade this year.  This means that everyone has to fill in a form.  Those on the old roll should have a letter in the church pigeonholes. If you have not had a letter and think you should be on the roll, please get a form from the church office or contact the electoral roll officer, Gillian Corwin.

 

There will be a Home group leaders Meeting on Monday 21st January commencing at 7.30pm at Annie & Spikes Haffermans House. I look forward to seeing you there and preparing for the new year. 

 

Would you like to be part of a women’s group enjoying fun, friendship and fellowship?  If so, then come along to a women’s breakfast (continental style) 9 to 10.30am on Saturday 9th February.

We hope to discuss future events and dates etc.
