God's Gang - Power in the Spirit
Something amazing happened on the day of Pentecost. God filled the disciples with the power of his Holy Spirit. Then Peter talked about Jesus and everyone could hear him in their own language. Three thousand people became Christians that day! Then the good news about Jesus began to spread all over the world.

Delta+ - "Moreton Hall in the Spring"
Last Wednesday our Delta Plus young people were taught how to take well composed digital photographs around Moreton Hall with the theme “Moreton Hall in the Spring”. You will have an opportunity to see these in the July All Age Worship service. Thank you to Robert Archer, Vanessa and Steve Harrison for sharing your photographic expertise with the group.
Delta Plus has a “Chip Crawl” this coming Wednesday; meet at the War Memorial by the Abbey at 7.00pm. All young people over 13 welcome. On 21st May there is the 2nd Delta Plus home group at the Radcliffes, with BBQ, ice breaker, music and teaching, meet at 7.00pm.
Thank you to all the new leaders who have joined in helping with this group.

Jeff Lucas Quotes: Grandparents are needed!
I have been reading Jeff Lucas' comments on the book of Ruth, who reminded readers about the importance of Naomi who was the grandmother of Obed. Jeff went on to quote a leading youth expert

"Churches don’t just need youth ministers but rather a church wide determination to welcome, nurture and encourage young people. (Grandparents are important also to young people). We do not have to be intimidated by the generation gap: as the elderly share their experiences; wisdom and hospitality with young people, so the young will be developed in their faith and the elderly renewed and invigorated by the energy of the young."

How do we respond to the young people and children in Christ Church? We are blessed by seeing nearly 150 babies through to 18 year olds, pass through the doors each week. We can learn from them and offer them so much more.
