10 Teenage Tips - 3 "Celebrate Milestone"
It's examination time for many teenagers: they need bags of love, support, understanding and space to chill out. Encourage them all of the time and don't get cross when they are moody, it is natural. And when the results come dropping through the letterbox, let them go to their room and open the envelope, they need their privacy. Whatever the results, show him or her love and understanding. Assure them of your support, even if the pass mark is not what you expected. Remember exams are NOT as important as your relationship with your son or daughter! Whatever the result GO OUT AND CELEBRATE, have a great meal together as a family. Jesus often uses a meal to teach and share lessons with his disciples. John Radcliffe, Director of Children & Youth Department.
