Easter encounters (in Luke’s gospel)
God showed his love for us by sending his only son into the world so that we might have life through him. 1 John 4v9
This reminds us again what Jesus did for us at Easter.
"The Lord is risen indeed." Luke 24v34
Thank God for sending Jesus.

Delta Plus Praise, Prayer and Action
Help is required to assist with the group going bowling Wednesday March 19th; please see Jo Burrows or John Radcliffe THIS SUNDAY (16th)!
URGENT: We have been encouraged by the increase in numbers attending Delta plus over the past months, but this has put a severe strain on the leadership. We need people with a heart for young people to come and supervise activities, or take a turn at leading an icebreaker or game, or look after the refreshments. How about giving one Wednesday a month and we can build up a rota to ensure the young people are not let down.
Your prayers are particularly requested as Jonathan Ford, David Grantham and John Radcliffe seek the Lord's direction for our young people this Monday 17th March.
Church Office
The office will be closed the week after Easter.
Lunch Club
The first lunch will be on Thursday 20th March at 1pm. Former "lunchers" have received invitations, but if anyone else would like to attend, please tell Flic Cripps or sign the list at church. Transport is available if requested.
Procession of Witness
Volunteers to carry banners are still needed! Please see Jonathan Ford for more details if you can help. If you are just coming to the event, we meet at church at around 9.45am to walk down or you can join us at the cathedral for 10.30am.
Canon
Jonathan Ford is to be made an honorary canon of St Edmundsbury cathedral. He will be installed on Sunday 20th April at 3.30pm and you are invited to join the service.
Child Protection
Everyone who works with children in the church has been given a booklet in the pigeon hole. Please take it home (and read it!).
Children's Society Boxes
A big thank you to those who collected £198.20. Val Betson has three spare boxes if anyone would like one for this year.
Food Hygiene
If you would like a food hygiene training certificate, please see Jonathan Ford for details of a course at Garland Street Baptist church on Saturday 19th April. This is desirable if you wish to prepare food in the church kitchen. You may need to pay a fee.
Notice Board
The outside notice board is out of use at present due to vandalism. It will be replaced soon.
