Alex now has most of the funds that he needs for his misson, but anyone who would still like to contribute should see the church treasurer.
God's Gang News
King Solomon - from the Bubbles group
King Solomon decided to build a temple. It would be a big and beautiful building where everyone could worship God. King Solomon found lots of men to help him build with the wood and to dig out stones to use as bricks. God helped him to find everything he needed to build the temple.
Groundbreakers Holiday Club
Please start to save craft materials: kitchen roll middles, cereal boxes, yoghurt pots, bottle tops from milk and juice cartons.
Leaders and helpers: remember that the pudding evening is on Monday 11th July.
Room C
Room C (the large upstairs storeroom) has now been cleared and tidied. All infrequently used items are now in the storage area on top. Flower arranging and gardening equipment previously downstairs is now upstairs in room C along with spare plates etc from the kitchen.
If you can't find it, ask someone!

Note that opening is now reduced due to staff holidays etc. Please telephone to check that the church is open before visiting.
Notes on rotas, tea and coffee etc!
Please note that some of the rotas will be changed or revised over the coming months - sorry for any inconvenience.
We are experimenting with new ways of serving tea and coffee after the morning service. This should be explained to you in advance of your turn - for advice see your homegroup leader or Tracey Cole.
There is also a sign up list for evening drinks making in church.
Our Diocese votes in favour of Women Bishops!
Diocesan Synod voted on this issue on Saturday 11th June 2011. The result was (almost) unanimously in favour of the draft Bishops and Priests (Consecration and Ordination of Women) Measure and draft amending Canon No.30, sent for approval by General Synod to all Diocesan Synods.
If a majority of Diocesan Synods approve this draft legislation, it will return to General Synod for final drafting. The Final Approval stage could be reached in July 2012, and then the legislation would go to Parliament for further consideration.
